God Is Watching You and You Must Give Account! But Religion Mistranslates Hebrews 4:13!

Do you know that God is watching you? Does that scare you?

Hebrews 4:13 would suggest we need to be a little scared, after all He is watching and we have to give an account.

“And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him, to whom we must give account.” (Heb 4:13 NKJV)

Make you a little nervous? Years ago, it did me.

You just might be surprised at what Hebrews 4:13 is really saying!

  • Perfect love casts out fear. (1Jn 4:18) Yet, we can still read some scriptures with a sense of fear of what God will do to us. Remember, fear involves punishment. If you think you might be punished by God then you still need a clearer revelation of His love! If you think He needs to punish certain people then you do not understand pure love. God is not about punishing, He is about love and caring for His children,  which is actually ALL mankind!
  • If you see italicized words in a scripture verse that means those are added words. They are not part of the original Greek. Might be a heads up to check out the real meaning of that verse. Bible Hub is one online resource to do just that.
  • To grasp – God can’t take His eyes off you because you are such  a delight to Him – is understanding more of your true identity. As you truly grasp His delight in you, in turn, you will delight in others. Oh, relish the certainty and fullness in knowing He is always ‘watching’ you – His ‘logos’, His expression of a beautiful thought!

  1. Oh gosh, thank you soooo much for this video! Ive always been terribly afraid of that verse, and to top it off i’ve been struggling with a really embarrassing problem that I dont wanna discuss out in the open, but it leaves me feeling depressed, dirty, and guilty, and I feel like if anyone knew they would see me differently and not love me anymore…

But I know that God will never unlove me…never ever.

    Thank you ❤

    • You are sure welcome. Believe me you are not alone in having some area of your life that is embarrassing, shaming, guilt-producing, regretful. Even some might just feel empty or so alone, but not dare tell anyone because we think we would be rejected to an even deeper level. Yet if we could see each others’ vulnerabilities and weaknesses we would be drawn to each other and even supportive! You are right on – God will NEVER “unlove” you or anyone else. When we begin to grasp the depth of this truth we would never “unlove” others too. God sees past our failures and sees our true person – we are made to do the same (see the truth of who we really are and the truth of who others really are – all precious and beautiful). Oh the power and freedom of truth and unconditional love!

Thanks for being vulnerable N. You have no idea how the honesty in your comment will help many others.

  2. Oh! If you have time, do you mind making a post explaining the bema seat of christ? That kinda freaks me out too…Thanks! ❤ ❤ ❤
